Recorded in Joshua Tree at Rancho de La Luna and Fireside Sound with David Catching (QOTSA) and Christopher Thorn (Blind Melon), Claire sings about love at first sight in “Loving You” an Americana power ballad echoing the sounds of Brandi Carlyle. Capturing the essence of the desert and the strength of their partnership is “Vows” the actual wedding vows Claire played to Nikki on their wedding day, following an ambitious cover, “Goin’ to California” that does the Led Zeppelin song justice and places you on the winding roads of the Mojave Desert, leading you to the doorstep of La Copine.
